Therapeutic properties –
Arjuna is used for the treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, edema, angina and hypercholesterolemia. It strengthens the heart muscles and maintains the heart rhythm properly.
Due to the antioxidant properties similar to the Vitamin E , Arjuna helps in maintaining the cholesterol level at the normal rate .
COQ10 in Arjuna supports the heart’s energy output and immunity. Heart muscles are strengthened by Arjuna due to the COQ10 .
Use of Arjuna protect against certain forms of cancer.
It is also used in the treatment of asthma.
In traditional Ayurvedic medicines its leaf juice is used to cure dysentery and earache.
According to Ayurvedic texts it is useful in the treatment of any sort of pain – due a fall or trauma, bone fracture etc.
Arjuna may also be protective against gastric ulcers, such as those caused by NSAIDs.
